Half Beef Custom Order

$2,206.00

This is for ordering a custom cut half beef

(Cut dates rotate and need to be listed in the description I currently do not have the next

cut date.)

One Half beef that is grass fed and grain finished with at least 100 days of ground Barley.

The barley is locally sourced and the beef are usually around 20 months old. These beef are

Simmental X Angus X Hereford Cross cattle. We do our best to feed out to an average of

1300lbs live weight. Here’s the math:

1300lb live cow will lose on average 40% of its live weight from life to on the rail. Then it will

lose another 45% of that weight from the rail to cut and wrapped.

1300 X .60 = 780lbs rail weight, 780 X .55= 429lbs cut and wrapped, this is for a whole beef

so a half beef looks more like this:

650 X .60 = 390lbs on the rail, 390 X .55= 214.50lb cut and wrap for half beef.

We price our half beef at $5.85/lb on the rail (2025 price) so for the half we would take

390lbs X $5.85= $2,281.50 for cut wrapped and frozen half beef. Which will weigh

approximately 214.5 lbs.

Things you get to choose when ordering a half beef include: thickness of steaks, size of

roasts, fat/lean content of ground beef, size of burger packages, whether you want more

roasts or steaks or ground, Bone in or bone out cuts, How many steaks to a package, if you

want some extra bones or fat. If you want organ meats. Extra cuts like short ribs, flank

steaks, and more.

We are currently using Montana Premium Processing Coop in Havre MT for processing,

they are USDA inspected facility and use vacuum seal to wrap packages.
